I watched my father slowly die of throat cancer, unable to eat or speak. Soon after, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. A year later, my 31-year-old sister was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer. I sat by her side in the hospital, helpless, as she begged for an end to her suffering. Despite my problem-solving skills, I had no tools to help her—or myself. The weight of grief and the pressure of caregiving overwhelmed me, and I found myself questioning how I could support my family while struggling to stay afloat. In that moment, surrounded by loss, I realized I needed to help others facing life-altering challenges—people like me, with no guidance on how to cope. That’s when I found my purpose: to help others not just survive but rise above their toughest transitions.
